Books Corner

Here is a list of some books I can recommend all around the topic of VFX and animation.

Why do I have this section here?  Well when I started in VFX I had really no clue where to look for good content. I had a few websites that I really found helpful but in the end I was just doing some tutorials here in there and was fooling my self in thinking I knew what I was doing. When I started to look into animation, The Animator’s Survival Kit by Richard Williams always came up an when I started AnimationMentor it was also recommended. When I started in compositing there was nobody that did not have a copy of Steve Wrights Digital Compositing for Film and Video or Morgen Kaufmanns The Art and Science of Digital Compositing. One good book can open so many doors to new things. Since then I am always looking around for some good books with good content that would help me grow or that I could recomend to people who are just starting in VFX or Animation.

So I hope you find this section useful and let know if there are any books that you think are missing here.

Compositing

  1. This design is incredible! You certainly know how to keep a reader amused. Between your wit and your videos, I was almost moved to start my own blog (well, almost…HaHa!) Great job. I really loved what you had to say, and more than that, how you presented it. Too cool!
